We have been having issues updating WordPress in the Appearance > Editor. It will timeout and display this error:
Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file over FTP.
We had contacted our hosting provider regarding the issue, and here is their reply:
Our administrators have found that the Easy Bootstrap Shortcode plugin is preventing the PHP changes from completing, when the plugin is disabled the changes can be made. Upon review of the plugin it has not been updated in at least 3 major releases of WordPress and may no longer be compatible.
I tried to test out the PRO version, to see if I’d have the same issue, but I was unable to active it. I received this error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
After attempting to activate the plugin a few more times, it finally activated. Unfortunately, I am also having the same issue on the PRO version.
